Asia New Media Forum
The Asia New Media Forum is an important platform for independent media organizations in the Asia region to come together every 2 years to share their experiences in media development. Since its first inception in 2006, it has become an important event for SEACeM to extend its outreach to include more organizations in the region to promote freedom of expression. While the focus is on Southeast Asian participants, we have participation from other countries such as Iran, Nepal and China as well. The event is also important to showcase the latest new technology that can be applied in media organizations.
The following are the main goals of the Asia New Media Forum Series:
1. To enhance the capability level of independent media organizations in the region
2. To serve as a platform for media organizations to interact and network with other organizations
3. To highlight new innovation in online media development so that it can be adopted by independent media organizations
The Asia New Media Forum aims to answer the following questions:
a. What are the challenges faced by the Editorial team members, and how do they overcome these problems?
b. What are the evolving business model for online media, and what are the new opportunities?
c. What are the available grants or loans, and how media organizations can tap on them?
d. What are the emerging new technologies, and how will this impact new media organizations?
The Asia New Media Forum 2010 is expected to be held in November 2010 in Bangkok. If you are interested to be a Paper Presenter, please email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
